Our thermal springs The 2 springs of hyper thermal water with therapeutic effect feeding our plant are of volcanic origin and are tapped at a depth of about 70 to 80 metres underground with a temperature of around 90° C. Their classification derives from the origin of the substances contained, coming both from the meteoric cycle (rainwater) through penetration into soil and rocks as well as from the magma. Furthermore, also sea water seeps in the faults thus feeding the springs.
According to the chemical analysis by the University of Naples Federico II of March, 2008, our water is rich in mineral salts and has been classified as "chloride-sodium-sulphate".
Thermal mud Thermal mud is a mixture between a solid part (natural or artificial peloid) and a fluid one (thermal water) that, put together for at least 6 months in thermal tanks, produce the anti-inflammatory final element. Thermal mud baths are highly recommended against all health conditions caused by locomotor ailments. In order to draw up a general medical history it is indispensable to consult our doctor before beginning a cycle of therapies. Very short cycles of mud baths are not advisable due to the poor results deriving from a few number of treatments whereas we surely advise the so-called “Slow Therapy”.
Inhalation therapies In thermal mineral water the gases and active principles develop their action both on the respiratory mucous membranes and on the surrounding tissues through absorption thus developing a complete effectiveness. Being highly effective against many health conditions of the respiratory tract, both hot-damp inhalations and aerosols are available at the Spa Romantica.
